I think an accountant made an error on my taxes. Can we fix them?
Yes, your taxes can be amended if it’s within the 3-year window. The IRS allows you to file an amended return within 3 years from the date you filed your original return or 2 years from when you paid the tax—whichever is later. If you filed early, the 3-year period starts from the April tax deadline.
Can you give me my tax return transcripts? How do I get my transcripts?
No, transcripts are provided directly by the IRS. To access them, you can either create an account on the IRS website at irs.gov, or you can visit your local IRS office in person.
