Individual Business Associates (IBA) was founded in 1970 by Charles Boyer in New York, New York. From the very beginning, IBA built a reputation for its unwavering dedication to client care and personalized service. The company subsequently opened additional offices in Newark and East Orange, New Jersey.

In 1993, Tynice Troy joined Charles as an apprentice, later becoming a partner and sharing his vision for meticulous attention to detail. Together, Charles and Tynice ran the business as it continued to grow and thrive, eventually relocating the company's headquarters to Jackson, New Jersey in the year 2000.

Passing the Torch, Continuing the Legacy

In 2012, Charles handed over the ownership of IBA to Tynice, entrusting her to carry forward the firm's legacy. For the next five years, Charles and Tynice worked together to build upon the strong foundation they had created. Tragically, Charles passed away in 2017, but Tynice has carried on his vision, now running the company as its sole leader.
